"The world is flat"

The motto "the world is flat" coined by Thomas Friedman is quite a popular phrase these days. All of us instantly link the phrase to internet, to email, to chat, Vo IP, etc, etc. But very few related to what it is behind the phrase: people from one culture talking with people from another. So understanding our client's culture is one of our main challenges. At Globant we have learned, and for God sake, we learn everyday a lot about this matter. Our business is far away from just neutralized English accent or providing heads. Our business is to make up high effective teams that can enable our clients faster time to market, cutting edge applications and 24/7 available infrastructure. To achieve these goals, we need to understand the culture of our clients, learn to share difficulties and figure out together how to solve it. Of course this leads us to COMMUNICATION, but this topic will be the matter another blog. Now, at this very moment I need to rush to San Francisco Airport to pick up Migoya, Guibert and Willi to visit and understand a bit more our client's culture. See you soon ....MU
