The eight edition of the Free Software Regional Summit (Jornadas Regionales de Software Libre), sponsored by Globant, received more than 1.300 people looking to exchange ideas, share techniques, discuss and explore free technologies such as Perl, MySQL, JAVA, PHP, Python, Linux, Apache and many more.
Globant´s experts Juan Pereryra, Web UI Specialist; Gonzalo Auné, OpenSocial Software Developer; and Emilio Gutter, Agile Mentor, offered lectures on the following subjects:
- Thursday 21, 10 hs: Juan Pereyra, "Developing a Web 2.0 Project" (Roca Auditorium)
- Thursday 21, 12 hs.: Gonzalo Auné, "Introduction to OpenSocial and Social Networks" (Roca Auditorium)
- Friday 22, 14 hs.: Emilio Gutter, "The Open Source Development process with Agile Methodologies” (Roca Auditorium)
The event also received International guests, such as Jon “Maddog” Hall, President of Linux Internacional, and Chris Hoffman, Engineering and Special Projects Director of Mozilla Foundation.
