Globant Appoints Gonzalo Alonso as the New VP of Operations

After working as General Manager for Spanish-Speaking Latin America at Google, Alonso comes to strengthen Globant´s plans of expansion throughout the world.

Buenos Aires, April 6th, 2009. – Globant, one of the top leaders in software product development, R&D, and IT maintenance outsourcing, announced that Gonzalo Alonso will be joining the management team as VP of Operations. Gonzalo will be responsible of managing the complete operations of the company, and will be focused in fostering the company’s growth according to its expansion goals.

Gonzalo comes to Globant after working as General Manager for Spanish-Speaking Latin America at Google, where he was responsible for the opening of Mexico´s offices (first in the region) and the opening of Google´s third services and operations center worldwide in Buenos Aires. Before that, Gonzalo worked for 10 years at Microsoft where he was responsible for products such as Hotmail and MSN Messenger, and he is a graduate from the Microsoft “Leadership” program, which is led by Bill Gates.
