    Press Release

Globant, the Latin American leader in software product development, R&D, and IT maintenance outsourcing, is opening offices in Bogotá, Colombia.

The Opening of the New Branch is in Line with Globant’s International Expansion Plans

BUENOS AIRES, February 2009 - Globant, the Latin American leader in software product development, R&D, and IT maintenance outsourcing, is opening offices in Bogotá, Colombia.

With the intention of broadening its presence in the country and strengthening its growth in the region, Globant is inaugurating offices for working with clients such as Microsoft, the Ministry of Defense – with projects in conjunction with Microsoft, CAFAM and other top line companies.

“Since our beginnings, we have been convinced of the potential of Latin America and, especially, of Colombia. This opening reinforces our intention to give more opportunities for the development of regional talent,” said Martín Migoya, Globant CEO. “We also want to continue our strategy of acquisitions in the region and after the Accendra and Openware acquisitions we see a wide range of attractive opportunities in Colombia.”

“We are confident that we can broaden our presence exponentially in the coming months. We are betting on the growth of Colombian companies working with our team, who specializes in the creation and development of software products,” said Gonzalo Pasquali, Business Development manager of Globant for the Andean and Caribbean Region. “We already have several local projects and the new offices will allow us to continue developing our operations here.”

Globant began working in Colombia a year ago and will now begin recruiting local talent. The enterprise was born six years ago in Argentina and began to expand in the region three years ago, opening offices in Santiago, Chile and in Mexico City, in addition to its sites in Argentina (Buenos Aires, La Plata, Tandil, Rosario and Córdoba), in the United States (Boston, Palo Alto and Austin) and in England (London).

In this way, Globant – which was recognized by Global Services Magazine with the first place in the “Top 5 Emerging Global Service Providers”  and which recently closed its third round of investment with Riverwood Capital and FTV Capital – plans to continue its growth, strengthened by the acquisitions of the Argentine companies Accendra and Openware in 2008.
