Globant opens a new development center in La Plata

Buenos Aires, August 28th 2007 – Following its expansion plan, Globant –leader provider in global IT services and solutions, will arrive in October to La Plata, where it will open its new offices in 48 st., between 5 and 6.

It´s a three floor development center, which will host more than 150 new talents. Located in the downtown of the city, the new office is near different universities and only meters away from the most important public transportation.

“In Argentina we have a great amount of highly trained professional. Our intention is to give them the chance of growing professionally and develop an international career without having to move away from their place of origin. That is why we are opening a new branch office in La Plata”, explained Martín Migoya, Globant´s CEO. “Moreover, the city has excellent students and professionals, due to the high level of its universities. At Globant, we want to nurture ourselves from that kind of persons”.

Thus, Globant keeps growing and following its objective of becoming leader in Latin America. The company was born in 2003, and was founded by four friends. It now employs 600 students and professionals and has offices all around the world, because its clients –highly renowned companies, are located mainly in Europe and the US. 

Besides the offices in Buenos Aires, Mexico DF, London, Boston and Silicon Valley, Globant opened in 2006 a development center in the Argentinean city of Tandil and, in July 2007, introduced the Globant Tech Park in Costa Salguero (in Buenos Aires). At these new offices Globant offers gym, yoga and massages lessons, a climbing wall, a ping pong table, a sound proof music room and a wide choice of leisure areas and equipment that makes the place comfortable, relaxed and fun.

Guibert Englebienne, Globant´s CTO, added: “We want to be the leader provider in global IT services from Latin America to the world. That is why we intend to keep on opening offices in other cities of Argentina and in other countries of the region. We employ 40 new professionals each month, the projects grow and the perspectives multiply”.

For Globant´s team in La Plata, the company is recruiting different profiles, among which we find: Java programmers, Quality Control Analysts, .NET developers, Linux admins and web designers.
