This award recognizes the importance of corporate social responsibility in the Latin American IT industry while raising awareness of its importance.

Globant was recognized for TesteAR,  a technology education project for job placement that runs since 2010, aimed to increase employment opportunities for young adults( 18 to 25 year olds) by providing training during a four month period, around four topics: IT, Manual Testing, English, and professional and personal development. TesteAR is. TesteAR's purpose is to contribute in social inclusion and reduce the digital gap. So far, Globant has launched this program in cities like Buenos Aires, Tandil, Rosario and Tucumán (all from Argentina), and plans to expand its reach to Colombia and Uruguay.

“The Nearshore Executive Alliance (NEA) is proud to present this year’s Foundations for the Future Award to Globant in recognition of the impact of the TesteAR program in the community. A skilled and trained workforce is a country’s main asset and TesteAR provides its beneficiaries a very comprehensive training that prepares them to enter the IT industry immediately upon conclusion. The commitment and effort put into the 4 month, 320 hour course over the last three years is remarkable. TesteAR supports the NEA’s mission and goals of expanding the pool of relevant and skilled talent in Latin America and consequently drive sustainable economic, social and human growth in the region.”

“It is a great honor for us to be recognized by Nearshore Americas and Nearshore Executive Alliance”, stated Martín Migoya, Globant CEO and co-founder. “We believe that TesteAR will contribute to our society, enhancing Latin America's talent pool and helping young underprivileged adults advance in their careers. The Foundations for the Future Award was presented last Wednesday, April 24th, at the Nearshore Nexus reception, at the Hyatt Regency in Jersey City.
