Automation Test Engineer is responsible for efficiently leading a team of testers to meet product goals. Identifying how his test teams aligns within an organization and how this team would achieve the roadmap identified for the project. Identifying the scope of the testing required for a particular release based on the requirements document. Identifying the tools for test reporting, test management and test automation. Identifying the required metrics and work to have them in place and initiating the test planning activities for test case design, encouraging his team to hold review meetings and ensure the review comments are incorporated. Reviewing product requirements, functional and design specifications to determine and preparing automated test cases. Planning and coordinating all testing activities of the QC team, including but not limited to test automation, load and stress testing, and integration testing. Reporting test results of the testing and proposing corrective actions. Estimating efforts for all stages of the project. Applying Globant’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) process to the project. They will Analyze functional requirements to contribute to developing the final product. Transmitting their knowledge about GCF to customers and new team members. Training and coaching team members in Quality Control processes. Ensuring that functional and non-functional customer requirements are fulfilled. Creating test cases; execution and test planning; reporting bugs. Applying automation testing when required. Defining QA templates for the GCF and developing software based on requirements. 

 

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field or foreign equivalent with two years of work related experience.

Senior Software Engineering in Test

Globant is seeking a passionate Senior Test Automation Engineer to join a team of great engineers who are responsible for building it's desktop subscription component embedded inside our client's products and used by millions of customers in San Francisco, CA.

The senior engineer works within a highly visible team at our client's site where the code you develop will have a direct, positive impact to millions of users of our products.  This experience is key to our business and one of our top initiatives around transformation and customer experience.

Skills & Requirements 

Responsibilities:

•  Design and implement software to test SDK that has been written mainly in C++

•  Analyze and convert requirements into user stories and test scenarios

•  Write code to automate testing of new functionalities and services using existing architecture, test framework and continuous delivery pipeline

•  Collaborate with the rest of the team to define and agree on test scope, strategy and production simulation

•  Design and develop test for availability, reliability, performance, security, etc

•  Promote and drive sound engineering practices and software quality

•  Provide troubleshooting for build errors or issues reported by SDK customers

Requirements:

•  5+ years of progressive, professional experience working as test engineer

•  Experience with C++ language and related tooling (e.g. compilers, cross platform, etc)

•  Experience writing tests and automation for Windows, Linux and Mac

•  Knowledge and experience designing tests, defining test scope and identifying functional and none functional testing (e.g. performance, availability, stability, security, environment, etc)

•  Familiar with scripting languages like JavaScript, Python or shell scripts

•  Experience with testing tools, build/release automation and Continuous Delivery

•  Passion and drive for automation and sound engineering practice

•  Self-directed and require minimal supervision

•  High attention to detail

•  BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
