On December 21st, the Export.Ar Foundation gave the 2005 Export.Ar awards during a ceremony that took place in the San Martín Palace. Globant, the leader IT outsourcing company in Argentina, was selected as one of the winners in the category Services´ Exportation, for its infrastructure and software development.

Buenos Aires, December 21st – On December 21st, the Export.Ar Foundation gave the 2005 Export.Ar awards during a ceremony that took place in the San Martín Palace. Globant, the leader IT outsourcing company in Argentina, was selected as one of the winners in the category Services´ Exportation, for its infrastructure and software development.

This means that Export.Ar Foundation considers Globant to have made a significant contribution to the export activity of Argentina. Globant fulfilled several objectives, among which was contributing to technological innovation through its services.

The ceremony
The event –the 10th edition of the program- was conducted by the Argentinean chancellor Jorge Taiana, who was in charge of giving the awards to the fourteen winning companies. The four founders of Globant –Martín Migoya, CEO; Guibert Englebienne, CTO; Martín Umaran, COO; and Néstor Nocetti, VP Corporate Services-attended the ceremony in order to receive the prize.

“We are really happy with this award. Our company started developing software in 2001. Moreover, we were called to give a lecture on entrepreneurship to MIT students”, explains enthusiastically Guibert Englebienne.

The meaning of the award
With this award, the Export.Ar Foundation wishes to:
- Recognize the efforts and accomplishments of each company in the pursuit of exporting products and services to the Global Market;
- Encourage the growth and diversification of Argentinean products for export, granting their quality and competitiveness;
- Develop a solid exporting culture among the national entrepreneurs that will redound to several benefits, one of which is the creation of new jobs.
The ExportAr Foundation is a non profit entity, formed by both public and private sectors. Its principal aim is to increase the international commercialization of competitive products, in order to diversify exportations.
