Martín Migoya, Globant CEO, Received the Konex Award as an Innovative Businessman of the Decade

Buenos Aires, September 2008. – Martín Migoya, Globant CEO and co-founder, was distinguished as an Innovative Businessman with the Konex Award. 

The Great Jury selected the 100 most relevant personalities and entities of the past decade (1998-2007) by designing five personalities for each discipline. During this ceremony, the award aimed to distinguish the categories of Institutions, Community and Company.

The diplomas were given by Argentina’s Vice-president Julio Cobos, during the Ceremony held at Buenos Aires University. Martín Migoya was distinguished as an “Innovative Businessman” along with Marcelo Argüelles, Marcos Galperín, Hugo Sigman and Víctor Trucco.

Martin has extensive experience in business management, sales and marketing. Prior to co-founding Globant, Martin was Director of Business Development at a large consulting and technology services company. At Origin BV Holland, he was Latin America's Regional Business Manager. As Globant CEO, Martin oversees the company's long-term goals, planning and analysis. Under his direction, the company has had a growth rate of 100% per year: currently it employs 1000 professionals and estimates revenues of $40 millions for 2008. During this period, Globant has been recognized by prestigious institutions:

•The MIT has written a business case about the company entitled “Globant, Leading the IT Revolution in Latin America”
•It was selected as the Best Exporter of IT Services by ExportAr Foundation
•It was recognized as the Leading Emerging Global Services Provider by Global Services Magazine

Together with the other three Globant´s founders, Martin was selected as Endeavor Entrepreneur 2005. Martin has lived and worked in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and UK. He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from La Plata University and a Master degree in Business Administration from CEMA University.
