Globant’s Spain HQ Receives One of World’s First AIS 5-Star Gold Accessibility Certifications

• Madrid headquarters achieved the AIS 5-Star Gold Certification under the AIS 1/2023 standard, while other European locations were also recognized as offering inclusive, human-centered workplaces

   

Globant (NYSE: GLOB), a digitally native company dedicated to reinventing businesses through innovative technology, today announced that its Madrid headquarters have achieved the AIS 5-Star Gold Certification under the AIS 1/2023 standard, the newest and most rigorous version of the international accessibility framework created by ARS Foundation. 

This recognition positions Globant among the first organizations in the world to attain the highest level of accessibility across its professional environment covering the physical, sensory, and cognitive usability of its workspaces. Other global office locations, including in Spain (Barcelona, Logroño); Italy (Milan, La Spezia, Mestre); Germany (Berlin) and Romania (Cluj) also received strong AIS certifications reflecting the company’s commitment to designing workplaces where people of all abilities can work together comfortably.

To obtain the 5-Star Gold rating, environments must demonstrate exceptional performance across all dimensions of accessibility and user experience. 

Globant was recognized for, among other accomplishments, supporting full mobility independence, enhancing multisensory wayfinding, improving lighting and acoustic conditions, strengthening safety and emergency protocols, and applying cognitive-friendly visual communication.

The certification process was carried out with the support of Safe City, the authorized entity that worked alongside Globant to evaluate, guide and validate the accessibility conditions required to reach the highest level of the AIS standard.
