November 28, 2016 – New York, NY – Globant S.A. (NYSE: GLOB), a digitally-native technology services company focused on delivering innovative digital solutions, has won a 2016 International Design Award in the Office Design category for its Pune, India office.
The International Design Awards recognize design excellence across a wide range of industries and 14 different categories, including Retail Design, Visualisation, Restaurant Design, Hotel Design, and Office Design. The awards are evaluated by a panel of leading industry design experts for technical creativity, overall appearance and innovation. Additionally, public voters also have a say in nominating and selecting the winners of certain International Design Award categories.
Opened in October 2016, the Pune office is inspired by nature, which highlights the culture of collaboration intrinsic to Globant. The award judges commended the office’s modern design style as well as the seamless integration of its theme.
The office space tells a journey from the moss found in the reception and the ‘walk in the woods’ towards the cafeteria to the ‘learning tree’ collaborative space and the acrylic birds in the ceiling. The café itself is a melting pot for various styles of seating with typical table and café chair-style seating complemented by wooden bench seating in one corner, seating on the artificial grass in the other corner and restaurant-style sofa seats.
“The Pune office provides a unique workplace that is visually aligned with our commitment to collaboration and innovation,” said Martín Migoya, CEO & co-founder of Globant. “Pune is just one example of how we take a unique approach to office life and encourage engagement and creativity among our international workforce.”
With the acquisition of Clarice Technologies in May 2015, Globant expanded its presence in Asia. A year later, they opened up this new space to work on the creation of digital journeys for some of the most renowned brands of the world. “With capacity for 1,200 Globers, with the new office facilities we plan to double our current headcount in the city. The most important thing that we are looking for is the best talent of the world, so we will continue looking for this talent, regardless where they are located. Our investment of opening a development centre in Pune is a part of our goal of bringing opportunities to where the talent is, so, by promoting this expansion, we intend to take opportunities globally and foster our positioning as the employer of choice for professionals all over the world”, added Martin.
Within India, Globant also has a Bangalore office in addition to its operations throughout Latin America, North America and Europe.
