  • The regional winners of the fifth edition of the Women that Build Awards are María Comín, Director of Pre-University Education at Microsoft Ibérica, as Tech Executive; Tamsin Lejeune, CEO and Founder of Common Objective, as Tech Entrepreneur; and Inés Huertas, Global Head of Data & AI at Kairós DS, as Tech Leader.

 

  • Regional winners will be awarded Udemy scholarships and CoachHub licenses to access courses in technology, business, leadership, and wellness, along with trophies for recognition and a round-trip to Converge, Globant's technology signature event that will be held in New York.

  • María Comín, winner in the Tech Executive category, has proven herself to be a highly respected innovator in education and technology. At Microsoft, she spearheads initiatives that promote inclusive environments and support individuals with disabilities. Her work is reshaping the corporate landscape, breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for people with disabilities to thrive in the tech sector.

  • Tamsin Lejeune, winner in the Tech Entrepreneur category, is a visionary entrepreneur shaped by the rich cultural landscapes of Africa, from Zambia to Zimbabwe. Her unwavering commitment to equitable business took a significant leap with the Common Objective (CO) platform, a groundbreaking achievement crowdfunded with £1.5 million. Built on sophisticated technology that integrates ESG data with powerful algorithms and AI, the platform has propelled sustainable suppliers into the spotlight.

  • Inés Huertas, winner in the Tech Leader category, shines as a beacon of innovation and a strong advocate for women in technology. As the Global Head of Data & Artificial Intelligence at Kairós, Huertas has been at the forefront of pioneering projects, utilizing big data and machine learning to drive significant advancements in fields such as medicine and environmental protection.

  • Esperanza Valbuena, Head of Digital Sales at SAP South of EMEA

  • Martín Umaran, Co-Founder, EMEA President & Chief Corporate Development at Globant

  • Fernando Matzkin, Chief Business Officer Europe at Globant

This 5th Edition garnered 2980 nominations, saw 612 candidates, received over 25,000 votes, and spanned 25 countries. Since its launch, the Award has accumulated 350K+ votes, 6.5K + candidates, garnered the support of 170+ organizations, and involved 270+ international judges.

 

Regional winners will be awarded Udemy scholarships and CoachHub licenses to access courses in technology, business, leadership, and wellness, along with trophies for recognition. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to participate and network in regional celebration events. Global winners will receive recognition at Converge, Globant's technology signature event, including a round trip to attend, and will be showcased on the iconic NYSE Billboard in Times Square in 2025.

 

The deliberation for the Global Winners will take place soon, when judges will evaluate the Regional Winners and select the Global Winners of the 5th edition of the Women That Build Awards. The prestigious panel of Global Judges includes Melissa Daimler Chief Learning Officer at Udemy; Andrea Pastrana Audit Partner & Leader of DEI at KPMG & Co-Chair at Women Corporate Directors; Cassandra Seier Head of International Capital Markets at NYSE; Madeline H. Serpico, Global Chief Client Experience Officer, Enterprise Clients at AON; Marcia Weiser, Head of Partner Sales LatAm at AWS; Martín Migoya, Co-founder & CEO at Globant and Patricia Pomies, Chief Operating Officer at Globant. Global winners will be announced at Converge, Globant's technology signature event.
