• Globant unveils MagnifAI 5.0, a major upgrade in its AI-powered testing platform

  • 23 May 2023

    Press Release

Magnifai 5.0

MagnifAI expands its offering by incorporating Generative AI to assist and further automate the testing journey

NEW YORK - May 22, 2023 - Globant (NYSE: GLOB), a digitally native company focused on reinventing businesses through innovative technology solutions, has announced a major update to its AI-powered testing platform, MagnifAI. Through the use of generative AI, MagnifAI 5.0 can now autogenerate test cases and automation code snippets by simply describing requirements using natural language, boosting the ability of manual testers, test automation engineers, and many other professionals in the quality engineering space to use AI in concrete ways to improve their daily activities.

In the quality assurance field, the testing process involves several tedious and monotonous tasks, often consuming valuable time that could be spent on more meaningful creative assignments. By leveraging Generative AI technology, MagnifAI is at the forefront of the AI revolution, positioning itself as an AI-powered companion to optimize the testing journey, improve efficiency and deliver high-quality products and services.

“When we look at AI’s state-of-the-art capabilities, it's visible that while creators can produce more complex experiences, we have a gap in terms of what tools the quality engineering field has to validate these experiences simply and economically,” said Nahuel Franchi, MagnifAI Executive Director. “Our mission is to bridge that gap and integrate the enterprise-ready tools the AI field has to offer into the quality space.”

This strategic upgrade addresses the growing demand for AI-based platforms and demonstrates Globant and MagnifAI's commitment to innovation. MagnifAI 5.0 is the perfect complement to our professional services offerings, and all of our Quality Engineering Studio Globers will have access to these new capabilities and be certified in their use to expand how we provide services to our clients.

Launched in 2022, MagnifAI is an AI-powered automated testing platform that speeds up test cycles by incorporating artificial intelligence into any automation framework, making it possible to automate repetitive quality assurance tasks. The product is part of the Globant X portfolio, Globant’s division of next-gen products and platforms that helps organizations become the best version of themselves and get where they need to go, faster. Other Globant’s X platforms are Augoor, StarMeUp, Walmeric, and Genexus.

  • Globant’s “Diversity Behind the Screen” Report: Mapping for Designing Inclusive Learning Experiences

  • 04 May 2023

    Press Release

Neurodiversity

  • This is the first time an IT company has published a study that focuses on understanding how talent learns and identifies different learning preferences
  • The most preferred learning sources are videos and tutorials, online courses, and from peers
  • Almost half of the neurodivergent people prefer to learn at their own pace and with reduced sensory stimuli

NEW YORK - May 4, 2023 - Globant (NYSE: GLOB), a digitally native company focused on reinventing businesses through innovative technology solutions, published today the results of its Learning and Diversity Behind the Screen Report, which aims to understand how Globant employees (or “Globers”) learn in order to design new learning experiences which are more effective, inclusive, and personalized.

Globant understands that each person has different ways of understanding and participating in the world. To honor this individuality, Globant became the first IT company to develop a mapping that  contemplates not only diversities like gender, but also some that may be invisible such as neurodiversity, which means that people do not think, learn, or process information in the same way.

“The future of humanity depends on the solutions we create. A high-impact industry, such as technology, has the potential to influence other fields and be a game changer for society,” said Patricia Pomies, Chief Operating Officer at Globant. “Companies should focus on designing learning experiences that use new technologies and innovation to put employees at the center of the business. This will help ensure their employees are equipped with the skills they need to succeed according to their unique characteristics and specialties.”

One key finding of Globant’s study was that one of the main reasons employees start a learning process is related to work activities – for example, improving job career prospects. Additionally, the study shows the importance of practical and flexible learning to adapt at each individual's own pace. That’s why employees’ most preferred learning sources are videos and tutorials, online courses, and learning from peers. Most of these ways of learning share the characteristics of being quick, immediate, and adaptable to various schedules.

In terms of gender, the study found that there are some differences between people who identify as women and those who identify as men. For instance, women report a greater preference for learning to improve their careers, while men more frequently report deciding to learn when they have questions related to their roles and responsibilities.

Neurodivergence also plays an important role in learning preferences, and taking this into account is crucial for organizations to design more inclusive learning proposals. People who report neurodivergent conditions show different learning modalities compared to those who do not report these conditions. For example, almost half of the people in the “neurodiverse” group prefer to learn at their own pace and with reduced sensory stimuli.

The study aimed to generate an initial mapping of learning preferences with a focus on diversity in technology. Globant works to reinvent the technology industry, and believes that quality education from an inclusive, equitable, and diverse perspective is crucial to innovation. That's why Globant prioritizes generating high-impact training programs and initiatives, as well as promoting research and data that can enhance knowledge and encourage good practices in technology.

“We aim to introduce new learning proposals that empower individuals, and thereby contribute to the technology industry's creation of an ecosystem in which every person’s unique talents can thrive and develop. Only through this approach can we enhance human intelligence and skills, emphasizing those aspects that make us unique,” said Melina Masnatta, Global Learning & DEI Director at Globant

  • Globant Launches Women that Build Awards 2023, the Fourth Edition of the Annual Program Recognizing Women Leaders in STEAM

  • 03 May 2023

    Press Release

Woman That Build 2023 Globant

  • This new edition recognizes women from all over the world in two categories: Inspiring Leader and Rising Star
  • Last days for nominations are available at www.womenawards.globant.com

NEW YORK - May 3, 2023 - Globant (NYSE: GLOB), a digitally native company focused on reinventing businesses through innovative technology solutions, announced today the launch of its fourth annual edition of the Women that Build Awards, an awards program recognizing women-identifying people who achieve, inspire, and promote inclusion in the STEAM fields. It is also a platform for global visibility, education, and networking, encouraging women-identifying individuals to pursue and excel in technology. This edition was unveiled at the Women that Build Awards Luncheon Reception at eMerge Americas in Miami, where the company hosted an exclusive event to honor the previous edition's winners, creating an intimate atmosphere for celebration.

Today, women hold only 24% of leadership positions in technology on a global scale (World Economic Forum), and at the same time, they are switching jobs at a higher rate than their male counterparts (McKinsey & Company). Additionally,  the underrepresentation of women in AI and Machine Learning - with only 22% and 12% of jobs held by women, respectively - will only serve to widen the gender gap in STEM (UNESCO). For this reason, companies need to ensure equal pay and provide the conditions and opportunities for career growth, flexibility, employee well-being, diversity, equity, and inclusion.

This fourth edition will feature two categories for nominations:

  • Inspiring Leader: This category will recognize VPs, Managers, Directors, leaders, founders, or subject matter experts with more than 5 (five) years of experience who are generating a positive impact in the STEAM fields.
  • Rising Star: This category will recognize powerful and talented women starting a career in technology, entrepreneurs, and founders or co-founders of startups with positive effects on business offerings related to STEAM.

“At Globant, we seek to promote the inclusion and professional growth of women and provide valuable opportunities for everyone in our industry,” said Patricia Pomies, Chief Operating Officer at Globant. “Through initiatives like the Women that Build Awards, we are actively addressing the systemic challenges many women encounter in the workplace, particularly in the technology industry. We are committed to fostering an environment where everyone, regardless of gender, can thrive and succeed. We believe that by promoting women's inclusion and professional growth, we are not only building a more equitable industry but also paving the way for a better future for all.”

The previous three editions garnered more than 5,000 candidates, 190K+ votes, 118 regional winners, 15 global winners, 110+ supporting associations such as eMerge, Endeavor, nPower, and HITEC, among others, and 160+ international judges including Lynn Martin, President of NYSE; Shari-Loessberg, Senior Lecturer at MIT Sloan School of Management; Rosario Marin, Owner of Marin & Marin LLC; Jorge Milburn, Director Sales & Ops EMEA at Tesla; and Linda Rottenberg, CEO & Co-founder, Endeavor Global.

"Since embarking on this journey four years ago, our unwavering mission has been to honor the trailblazing women who are fearlessly shattering barriers and forging new paths to success in their fields," said Wanda Weigert, Global Chief Brand Officer at Globant. "By amplifying their stories and fostering a supportive community, we can empower other women to pursue their professional development and unlock new opportunities in the rapidly expanding technology sector. Together, we can ignite a movement that propels women to achieve unprecedented levels of success."

This edition of Women That Build Awards count with the support of global partners like NYSE, Salesforce, Women Corporate Directors, Udemy and Coachub, together with local promotion of 40 supporting organizationes.

All global winners will be awarded with a trip to the United States to celebrate together at the end of October 2023 and will be featured on the NYSE’s Billboard in Time Square during the promotion of the 5th Women That Build Awards Edition in 2024. The 24 regional winners will also receive an executive coaching program from Coach Hub, and a Udemy Business licenses to use according to their language, needs, and career projections.
