    Press Release

AI Retail Search and Recommendations

  • AI Retail Search and Recommendations allows customers to interact with their beloved brands using semantic searches and images as references for what they are looking for, improving user experiences, customer services, and conversion rates.

New York - March 25, 2025 – Globant (NYSE: GLOB), a digitally native company focused on reinventing businesses through innovative technology solutions, announced the launch of its new retail-oriented searching engine, AI Retail Search and Recommendations, which is built on Google Cloud gen AI technology.

Using Google Cloud Vertex AI Search for Retail and models from Gemini for Google Cloud, AI Retail Search and Recommendations is designed to enhance personalization, drive conversions, and improve customer services, for example, generating recommendations for users like “Others You May Like,” “Frequently Bought Together,” and other novel algorithms, ultimately transforming the shopping experience for consumers and retailers.

“By leveraging Google Cloud’s cutting-edge generative AI capabilities alongside our deep retail expertise, we create meaningful connections between brands and customers, enabling the delivery of highly personalized shopping experiences,” said Diego Tartara, Chief Technology Officer at Globant. “With customized recommendations, intuitive interactions, and enhanced search functionalities, we empower brands to emerge as industry leaders, primed for sustained growth and lasting customer loyalty.”

Globant’s AI Retail Search and Recommendations offers:

  • Exceptional Customer Service: Globant introduces a gen AI-powered personal shopper offering personalized styling advice and product recommendations, ensuring a unique shopping experience. With the Smart Outfit Idea feature, customers can upload an image and receive a customized outfit tailored just for them. This feature also allows customers to visualize their looks on real people. Additionally, the Virtual Room Designer personalizes recommendations for furniture and decor that perfectly match users' styles and existing pieces.

  • Enhanced Personalization: Leveraging gen AI, Globant analyzes customer data to provide highly personalized product recommendations tailored to individual preferences, purchase history, and browsing behavior. The Advanced Multimodal Search allows customers to explore the catalog using natural language or images. They can search for items like bright colors, clothing from Peru, clothes suitable for playing football based on blue, or any other reference.

  • Increase retention: By delighting users with a multimodal experience and highly facilitating product search and recommendations powered by AI.

  • Increased Conversions and Revenue: By utilizing GenAI, retailers can drive conversions and increase average order value through relevant product suggestions that resonate with customer preferences.

Last year, Globant introduced the Advanced Video Search solution—an AI-driven tool that enables users to quickly locate specific clips, images, and moments within extensive video libraries. This innovative solution leverages Google Cloud's cutting-edge AI models, including Vertex AI platform and Gemini. Additionally, Globant launched the Media Archive AI, a collaborative Intelligent Video Network (IVN) solution powered by Google Cloud’s generative AI, together with Quickplay. These technologies enhance time-to-value realization and unlock new catalog monetization opportunities for media and entertainment customers.

Globant’s AI Retail Search and Recommendations was presented at the NRF, the world's leading annual retail event. It brings together nearly 30,000 retail professionals, vendors, and industry partners from more than 90 countries for educational and networking opportunities. The company sponsored the NRF conference for the third time to bolster its presence in the retail industry and enhance its brand positioning.

  • The Level 1 MSSP baseline encompasses fundamental services such as vulnerability management, monitoring AWS service configurations for compliance with security best practices, managed detection and response, and managed web application firewall services.

NEW YORK– February 25, 2025 — Globant (NYSE: GLOB), a digitally native company focused on reinventing businesses through innovative technology solutions, announced today that it has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Level 1 MSSP (Managed Security Service Provider) Competency status.

This designation recognizes that Globant has successfully met AWS’s requirements for a baseline of managed security services to protect and monitor essential AWS resources 24/7, known as Level 1 Managed Security Services. According to Gartner, by the end of 2025, it is estimated that 99% of cloud security failures will be attributed to human error. Managed security services set a new standard of quality, defined by AWS security experts to benefit cloud environments of any size.

“Achieving the Level 1 Managed Security Service Provider competency from AWS underscores Globant's unwavering commitment to thinking in a direction that inspires results, providing our clients with top-tier, secure cloud solutions”, said Pablo Del Giudice, VP of Technology at Globant’s AWS Studio. “In an era where cloud security is paramount, this accomplishment not only enhances our ability to protect our clients’ critical assets but also reinforces our partnership with AWS, ensuring that we lead the way in delivering innovative and reliable security services.”

  • New Report by Globant and MIT Technology Review Insights Reveal Potential of AI in the Software Development Lifecycle

  • 12 Dec 2024

    Press Release

MIT and Globant new AI report

  • The report explores how generative AI is used across software development and the opportunities that lie ahead.
  • It also features in-depth interviews with industry experts from Globant, GitHub, Amazon Web Services, the International Data Corporation, and Google.

Boston, December 12, 2024 — Globant (NYSE: GLOB), a digitally native company focused on reinventing businesses through innovative technology solutions, has partnered with MIT Technology Review Insights to create a new report titled, “Transforming Software Development with Generative AI.” This report explores the potential of generative AI in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and highlights both the current state of adoption and the future opportunities that lie ahead.

“As an early investor in AI and a leading player in digital transformation, Globant found this partnership with MIT to understand and seize the potential of generative AI in the SDLC deeply enlightening. Although according to the report, we are just scratching the surface of a transformational shift in software, foundations for these transformative capabilities are falling into place,” said Carolina Dolan Chandler, Chief Digital Officer at Globant. “As we challenge our own assumptions, we hope this joint report with such a forward-looking institute offers organizations better insights to navigate this new era.”

302 executives were interviewed to review survey data and research, representing a range of industries and global organizations. Their findings reveal that generative AI has rich potential to revolutionize software development, but full adoption has yet to be reached. Early use cases of generative AI in the software development lifecycle go beyond code generation, including design, prototyping, requirement development, and testing. By democratizing AI, organizations are better equipped to unleash their creativity across every stage of the SDLC, improving teams' productivity and increasing collaboration. In this next phase of generative AI usage, company leaders see the most potential in finding additional ways to measure AI’s impact and increasing the adoption of AI agents to succeed at more complex, multi-step tasks.

Other key findings from the report include:

  • Generative AI is already meeting or exceeding expectations in the SDLC: 46% of survey respondents say generative AI is already meeting expectations, and 33% say it “exceeds” or “greatly exceeds” expectations.
  • Generative AI adoption is particularly high in the earlier stages of the SDLC: 59% of respondents’ organizations use it for ideation, 65% for design and prototyping, and 61% for code generation. However, organizations that use generative AI in more phases of the SDLC also report seeing greater impact.
  • Survey respondents expect AI will “substantially” change the SDLC across most organizations within the next decade, with 38% putting that timeframe at one to three years, and another 31% believe it’s coming in four to ten years.

These findings present a compelling case for the transformative power of generative AI in software development. As organizations navigate their adoption journeys, embracing these innovations will be key to staying competitive in an increasingly digital landscape. To learn more about the report, click here

This partnership is especially timely, aligning with industry trends and meeting the rising demand for advanced analytics and insights that drive stronger team performance. According to Gartner, by 2027, 50% of software engineering organizations will use software engineering intelligence platforms to measure and increase developer productivity, compared to 5% in 2024.

  • From Synthetic Humans to Invisible Experiences – Globant Releases 2025 Tech Trends Report

  • 03 Dec 2024

    Press Release

Tech Trends 2025 Globant

  • The yearly report explores crucial sectors expected to experience substantial transformations in the near future.
  • These developments signify a move toward a reality where technology is more user-friendly, compassionate, and integrated into everyday life.

NEW YORK – December 3, 2024—Globant (NYSE: GLOB), a digitally native company focused on reinventing businesses through innovative technology solutions, launched its 2025 Tech Trends Report today, highlighting the top tech predictions that will shape the upcoming year and beyond.

“As we approach 2025, the technological environment is poised for groundbreaking changes that will fundamentally reshape our world,” said Diego Tártara, Chief Technology Officer at Globant. “While captivating forecasts can sometimes distract us, Globant’s Tech Trends report shines a light on the exciting advancements ahead. It highlights the critical trends set to enhance our experience with technology and deepen our connections, emphasizing innovation's transformative power.”

Globant’s Tech Trends Report highlights the five trends set to revolutionize industries and everyday life to prepare for the unprecedented changes on the horizon:

  • Synthetic Humans: Building on Media Equation theory, which suggests that people treat technology as social beings, synthetic humans have progressed from simple animated figures to advanced AI-driven avatars. These digital entities now offer lifelike appearances, emotions, and behaviors, fostering more genuine interactions in sectors like customer service, education, and healthcare. With the market for digital humans expected to surge, they enhance user experiences through personalized and empathetic communication. They promise to revolutionize retail by serving as personal shoppers and healthcare by offering continuous support and information.

  • Quantum Computing: This technological leap is set to revolutionize the world of data and digital innovation. With the global quantum computing market projected to skyrocket from $412 million in 2020 to $8.6 billion by 2027, this technology is rapidly evolving beyond classical limits, set to not only break new ground in AI and encryption but also to usher in a quantum internet with secure, instant global communication.

  • Invisible Experiences: Artificial Intelligence seamlessly integrates into our lives, becoming a ubiquitous and empathetic companion rather than just a tool. Smart glasses will lead the invisible experiences revolution, evolving from bulky gadgets into stylish, high-tech accessories that blend augmented reality with daily convenience. As tech giants race to perfect these innovations, the invisible future becomes a game-changer.

  • Agentic AI: It has become the holy grail of the tech industry, mainly outside the view of the general public. This new trend is revolutionizing the landscape of AI by moving beyond isolated, single-agent systems to a dynamic, multi-agent framework that functions like a team of specialized experts. Globant announced the integration of its proprietary AI Agents into the software development life cycle (SDLC) in June. These AI Agents augmented by humans impact the full SDLC, including backend prototyping, application design, testing, and more, to enhance efficiency by solving tasks autonomously.

  • Robotics: This technology is on the brink of a monumental transformation, driven by unprecedented advances in AI and investment. The robotics market, projected to surge from $262 billion in 2023 to $346 billion by 2025, is being revolutionized by innovations such as AI-driven autonomous robots and IoT integration. Smart robots evolve with enhanced autonomy and human-like capabilities, while affordable household robots are becoming more prevalent. This era of "Internet of Robotics" and "Robotics Operations" will redefine efficiency and connectivity, making robots an integral part of daily life and business operations, and blurring the lines between imagination and reality.

Globant’s Tech Trends Report paints a vivid picture of an exciting future. These advancements are not just technical marvels; they represent a shift towards a world where technology is more intuitive, empathetic, and seamlessly integrated into daily lives. AI will become an invisible yet omnipresent force, and systems will evolve to emulate human-like collaboration. These Tech Trends were also discussed at Globant’s CONVERGE AI: Disrupt, Delight, Connect, you can watch the entire event here

  • 28 Nov 2024

    Press Release

Code Fixer AI Agent

  • The Code Fixer AI Agent showcased exceptional capabilities in resolving code issues, effectively addressing bugs in an industry-leading pressure test that included a subset of 300 instances focused on functional bug fixes
  • This development reflects the company's expertise in creating AI Agents and Gen-AI solutions, powered by Globant Enterprise AI, the umbrella under which Globant's strategy for the adoption, integration, and development of these technologies is established

NEW YORK – November 28, 2024 — Globant (NYSE: GLOB), a digitally native company focused on reinventing businesses through innovative technology solutions, proudly shares that its “Code Fixer” AI Agent achieved the highest score and ranked among the top performers in SWE-bench-lite, demonstrating exceptional capabilities in resolving bug fixing needs.

SWE-bench-lite is a streamlined evaluation framework consisting of 300 instances focused on functional bug fixes. This subset preserves the diversity and distribution of repositories from the original dataset, covering 11 out of the 12 repositories. Additionally, 23 development instances have been curated to support ongoing development for SWE-bench tasks. The SWE-bench Lite, as part of the validation process, showcased consistent outcomes that place the Code Fixer AI Agent among the top-performing, state-of-the-art models globally, achieving a ticket resolution rate of 48.33%.

The “Code Fixer” AI Agent is an outcome of Globant Enterprise AI and its capacity to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across multiple industries -in this case, software development- through customized AI Agents. This particular AI Agent already in use by Globers globally is pivotal for the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), where optimizing the debugging process can significantly boost productivity.

Powered by Globant Enterprise AI, the Code Fixer AI Agent  leverages a multi-agent system that operates within a structured workflow, allowing multiple Agents to collaborate at each stage of code issue resolution, ensuring a comprehensible flow while prioritizing accuracy and speed.

“At Globant, we are enhancing our own software engineering capabilities by leveraging advanced AI technologies to effectively address real-world coding challenges,” said Guibert Englebienne, Co-founder of Globant and President of Globant X, its AI-driven platform development unit. “The remarkable performance of the Code Fixer AI Agent in the SWE-bench-lite evaluation testifies on our commitment to innovation in code issue resolution providing our clients with new solutions and optimal results. By integrating our AI Agents with our comprehensive suite of AI platforms, we empower organizations to achieve greater efficiency and drive significant growth across various sectors.”

“Globant’s Code Fixer AI Agent reflects the company’s journey to developing AI Agents and Gen-AI solutions powered by Globant Enterprise AI,” said Gastón Milano, CTO of Globant Enterprise AI. “By combining advanced techniques, this platform adds significant value to complex scenarios within the Software Development Life Cycle. It accelerates the development process, enabling organizations to access various LLMs in a monitored and cost-effective manner. At Globant, we are dedicated to investing our time in innovation and creating new experiences, where agents play a crucial role. The Code Fixer AI Agent exemplifies the transformative impact our AI platforms can deliver.”

This achievement follows the announcement made last June, when Globant unveiled the integration of its proprietary AI Agents into the software development life cycle (SDLC) to enhance core development capabilities. Combined with Globant X’s existing AI products—such as Augoor, MagnifAI, Navigate, GeneXus, and Globant Enterprise AI—these new AI Agents co-create more efficient development cycles.
