Globant Celebrates the Opening of its Development Center in La Plata

Buenos Aires, June 2008 - Globant, the Latin American leader in software product development and maintenance outsourcing leader, opened today its offices in the city of La Plata, in 48 street, N536. This opening solidifies Globant´s position as leader in the outsourcing industry.  

The new development center, the biggest initiative in the city, required an inversion of $4 millions. More than 1500 mts2 will receive 150 new Globers, a team that plans to grow to 500 during the year.  

During the opening, Globant received Débora Giorgi, Minister of Agriculture and Production Affaires of the Province of Buenos Aires. “We are extremely proud of entrepreneurships like Globant´s. The promotion of these enterprises is what will propel our country and will allow to strengthen the Argentinean identity around the world. Multinational companies borne in Argentina, such as Globant, are the ones that will foster our growth,” explained the Minister during the event.  

“These offices bring us a step further in our expansion and consolidation process,” assured Martín Migoya Globant CEO. “We have an incredible team of professionals in Argentina. We intend to give them the possibility of growing professionally and developing an international career from their home town.”

The new offices represent the state-of-the-art in arquitecture and design; they are one of a kind in the country and similar to the most advanced offices in Silicon Valley. They offer rooms for relax, with pool tables, ping pong, mini-golf, playstations, etc. Just as from the rest of Globant´s offices, La Plata´s team will provide services for clients like Google, Electronic Arts, Coca Cola, Dell and Sun Microsystems.
