Globant, invited to present Globant´s case at the MIT

Guibert Englebienne, Globant´s CTO, and Martín Umaran, COO, talked about the company’s case in the Global Entrepreneurship Laboratory

Buenos Aires, September 2008 - Globant, the Latin American leader in software product development and maintenance outsourcing, was invited to the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) to talk about the company´s business case. On September 16th, Guibert Englebienne, CTO, and Martín Umaran, COO, talked about their past, their present and how they overcame the challenges and took advantages of the opportunities of being a start up in Argentina.

The Global Entrepreneurship Laboratory (G-Lab) of the MIT Sloan School of Management received Globant as part of their studies of entrepreneurs around the world. The course aims to cover the issues and challenges facing global startups, and makes special focus in entrepreneurs from Latin America.

Globant has been in contact with the MIT since 2005, when it was invited to be a Host Company in the G-lab and was selected to become a member of their program. A four-member team visited Globant´s offices at Buenos Aires and worked in a consulting project. The results were published in a business case, called “Globant, leading the IT revolution in Latin America”, which is now taught in the MIT course.
