    Press Release

Buenos Aires, December 2010.- During last Thursday, December 16th, Globant, the Government of the City of Buenos Aires and Desarrollar Foundation organized the first Prom for graduates of TesteAR´s program. During this program, they were trained in Manual Testing at the Technology District in Parque de los Patricios. Globant launched TesteAR to allow the students to get into the technology industry, one of the sectors with the largest growth potential in the world. Having this in mind, TesteAR´s objective is to help young people from vulnerable sectors of the society to seek for better job opportunities in IT.

TesteAR's goal is to include different educational aspects, from the technical issues up to the professional,  personal and English skills. A group of 12 youngsters started this first course on September 2010, which lasted 4 months.

María José Peirano, Responsible of CSR at Globant said: “From Globant we are proud of the results of this group. TesteAR is a project in which the beneficiaries were trained intensively in technology. We know it wasn´t easy for many of them, but it´s a big satisfaction to see how they kept on going and achieved the expectations of the program. This group is really prepared to join the IT industry”.

To develop this project, Globant signed an agreement with the Buenos Aires Sur Corporation, to carry out the project in the IT District in Parque de los Patricios. The Company was also helped by “Centro de Atención al Inversor” and the Desarrollar Foundation. Together, these three organizations united efforts and worked as a whole, each one offering their support based on their own specialties.
