San Francisco —March 19, 2013— IDG’s Computerworld Honors Program today announces Globant as a 2013 Laureate. The annual award program honors visionary applications of information technology promoting positive social, economic and educational change.

Globant was recognized for TesteAR, a program that the Company runs since 2010 with the aim of increasing the employment opportunities of the most disadvantaged through a specialized training in Manual Testing.

These projects demonstrate how IT can advance organizations' ability to compete, innovate, communicate and prosper.”

Through TesteAR, Globant seeks to increase employment opportunities for young people by providing training in Software Manual Testing. TesteAR is a technology education project for job placement. The objective is to train young people aged 18 to 25 years during a four month period, around four topics: IT, Manual Testing, English, and professional and personal development. TesteAR´s purpose is to contribute to the social inclusion and to reduce the digital gap. So far, Globant has launched this program in cities like Buenos Aires, Tandil, Rosario and Tucumán (all from Argentina), and plans to expand its reach to Colombia and Uruguay.

The Computerworld Honors Program awards will be presented at the Gala Evening and Awards Ceremony on June 3, 2013 at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C.
