  • GLOBANT UNVEILS TWO NEW OFFERINGS TO ITS SERVICES OVER PLATFORMS (SOP) MODEL ON COGNITIVE, SOCIAL AND E-LEARNING TECH

SOP addresses demand for customizable digital platform with SaaS style pricing model

NEW YORK, June 23, 2016 – Globant (NYSE: GLOB) today launched two new platforms to its proprietary industry software delivery model, “Services over Platforms” (SoP). The company introduced earlier  the initial SoP portfolio, which included StarMeUp, an employee engagement platform; and I AM AT, a mobile technology platform focused on gaming and social media; and now adds two new platforms: Acamica, an e-learning technology platform; and Collokia, a machine learning-collaboration algorithm for employees.

Globant launched the new model Services over Platforms (SoP) to enhance the professional services it provides via its Studios and help deliver Digital Journeys in a more rapid and innovative way. SoP carves out a new offering encompassing the best out of two worlds, such as the traditional professional services model and the Software as a Service (SaaS) products.

In this new category, and for those cases that apply, Globant provides specific, easily employable platforms as a starting point, and then customizes those platforms to the needs of the brand using its services force. Globant charges the SoP portfolio -both the platforms and the customization-, by assigning a cost per user per month, per usage or per transaction, depending on the type of platform, similar to other SaaS companies.

Today, Globant introduces two new platforms as part of  SoP:

  • Acamica, a state-of-the-art e-learning platform for global companies who want to run their own online and personalized academies to host Massive Open Online Courses as well as private training modules, with a strong focus on user experience and social interactions.

  • Collokia, a platform that fosters collaboration between co-workers with its unique combination of plug-in technology and machine learning algorithms. Through the use of Machine Learning Algorithms, Collokia makes it easy for employees to not only find key information in their company’s systems, but to update and make edits to these search results.

These two platforms complement the initial SoP portfolio, composed of:

  • I AM AT, a Digital Journey Mobile Platform that combines social media, gaming strategies, mobile technologies, Big & Fast Data and other inputs to augment consumer experiences before, during and after a mobile interaction with a brand. The Mobile Platform adapts to users’ behaviors and can trigger, in milliseconds, personalized and simultaneous experiences based on their social profiles and actions.

  • StarmeUp, is a Digital Journey Employee Platform, a collaborative tool that helps organizations strengthen their corporate culture by encouraging recognition between peers based on the company's predetermined core values.  StarmeUp uses gamification techniques and leverages Big Data to engage employees and encourage a positive team mindset. Big Data delivers key insights on employee satisfaction, performance and hidden talent, encouraging top performers and reinforcing the company’s values.

“We are excited to introduce these new platforms. The SoP offering complements the services provided by our Studios, and can be used where necessary to streamline the execution of clients’ Digital Journey campaigns,“ said Martín Migoya, Globant CEO and co-founder. “The model allows us to deliver a harmonized solution, with the customization brands need to enhance their digital impacts. These four products are the first of a list that we expect will continue growing in the near future.”
