Hotel booking sites today are characterized by very simplistic location search features and an almost total inability to know their customer – who they are, what they care about, and even what they’ve done in the past. In short you type in a starting location and the experience always starts from the very beginning, in the same way.

Room Key has embarked on an aggressive new approach to geography and is well underway in its work using advanced learning models and behavioral analytics to help customers find what they’re looking for, both spatially and behaviorally.

Over the course of this presentation we'll discuss Room Key’s complete re-architecture of geography and our approach to the use of advanced analytics and real-time learning. For the first time, the customer can feel like a site knows who they are and cares about how they make the journey from an idea to the final booking, while building on those experiences into the future.

Kurt is a highly experienced senior information technology executive with a track record of delivering innovative, industry-leading solutions.
Kurt joins the Room Key team from TIAA-CREF, where he was a Vice President and Head of Enterprise Architecture, IT Strategy and Application Development. Prior to that, he held technology leadership positions at numerous well-known companies in the financial and consulting industries, including Putnam Investments, Gartner Group and Dupont, where he served as Chief Technology Architect.
